Band Bio

The Mad Cows is a screaming explosive 4-piece, 10-piece and 17-piece big-band...screaming for a green environment and better access to health care at a crucial time in Canadian history.

It is a band for hire for your next party, dance, wedding, bar mitzvah, corporate event etc. Contact us for rates, availability etc.

It plays high energy up-tempo pop, rock, jazz and latin music from the 30’s to the present dynamically arranged for big band. Slow lush ballads are interspersed.

The band has played at the Montmartre Cafe, Cuppa Joe Coffee House, Palais Royale, Toronto Street Festival, Whistler’s, Mr. Slate Top Brass Lounge etc.  The 17 piece configuration includes 5 saxes, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, piano, bass, guitar, bass and singer.

Dr. Jerry Green, a Toronto and Vancouver based medical doctor, leads the band.  He works as a patient advocate, is an “incurable romantic” and has screamed/ brought about many changes in the health care system.
